Folding hat in 100% premium cashmere, designed by the Danish brand, Wuth Copenhagen. The hat is made of cashmere from Inner Mongolia, where the world's softest and most sought-after cashmere fibers come from.
Designer, Birgitte Wuth, has founded Wuth Copenhagen. Wuth was educated at the design school ESMOD in Paris, and it was here that her passion for cashmere blossomed.
One of the advantages of cashmere is that it is eight times warmer and 33% lighter than sheep's wool. Cashmere goats have a very fine undercoat that protects and insulates them effectively against the cold. Every spring, the cashmere wool is removed from the goat with a special comb - in the wild, the cashmere goat sheds its undercoat itself, so as not to overheat in the heat.
When the underwool is secured, dirt, grass and other foreign objects are removed from the wool. The fibers are then sorted according to fineness and colour, and the cashmere wool is washed, dried and spun into yarn.
The softness of cashmere fibers is measured by the so-called micro count. The micro count is the measure of the fiber's diameter and the lower the count, the softer the fiber. The low micro-count of the cashmere fibers and the length of the fibers means that cashmere feels extremely soft and gentle against the skin.
The micro count is of great importance when it comes to the quality of cashmere. This is the reason why Wuth Copenhagen chooses their cashmere carefully. They only use 100% premium cashmere - the best - for all their cashmere styles.

Wuth Copenhagen recommends that you wash your cashmere hat by hand. Inside out, soak the hat in cold water with a small amount of detergent intended for wool. Then rinse the hat by soaking it in clean water. Repeat the last step until all the soap is out of the cap. After washing the hat, gently squeeze out the water without wringing it. We don't recommend washing your cashmere hat too often, and since cashmere is self-cleaning, you can advantageously air the hat outside to remove odors or place the hat in the bathroom while you take a shower, as the steam has a cleansing effect.
