The Art Museum offers a special museum experience without limits of space and time. The book's galleries display more than 1,600 works of art, including paintings, sculptures, textiles, photographs, installations, performances, videos, prints, ceramics, manuscripts, metalwork and jewelry. The works range from the Paleolithic era to the present day and come from all over the globe, including both iconic and lesser known works.
The artworks included are selected by a team of 28 curators, critics, art historians and artists from institutions such as: Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; British Museum, London; Museum of Fine Art, Boston; The J. Paul Getty Museum, Malibu; University of California, Berkeley; LaTrobe University, Melbourne; School of African and Oriental Studies, University of London; and the Courtauld Institute of Art, London.
