The photography book 'Shadow's Walk' , by Per Bak Jensen, collects 59 new recordings from walks in a world where nature is mainly his motif and model - especially special sections of it, nature.
Per Bak Jensen (b. 1949) is often (rightly) said to be a pioneer in his field. In his tireless search for photographic expression, he has created a number of photo series which have established him as one of the most important art photographers in Scandinavia.
For Bak Jensen, who never manipulates his images, it is essential to capture a certain timelessness, which in his own words captures "the essence of the places". Per Bak Jensen was until 2009 a lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, and through his unique photographic working methods has inspired many young Scandinavian artists.
Per Bak Jensen's work is represented in a number of public collections worldwide, including MoMA, New York; Moderna Museum, Stockholm; Bibliothéque Nationale, Paris - and in the Louisiana collection.
