After studying at the art academies in Berlin, Essen and Munich, he came to the Bauhaus school in Weimar in 1920, where after a short period of study he became a teacher until and from 1926-1927, as creative director of the furniture line. It was during his years at the school that Albers primarily worked with furniture design.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e The Bauhaus movement was founded by the German architect, Walter Gropius, as an art school in Weimar in 1919.
