Louisiana Revy, Jørn Utzon, The Architect's Universe , published in connection with Louisiana's exhibition with Utzon in 2004. Although Jørn Utzon (b. 1918) is best known worldwide as the architect behind the famous Sydney Opera House, his work is imbued with the idea of creating buildings for and for people – and therefore not as architectural monuments.

Utzon's utilization of the industrial construction process as well as his intense focus on both humane and aesthetic aspects make him an innovator of modernism.

So although the opera house in Sydney (1957-73), the parliament building in Kuwait (1972-82) and the church in Bagsværd (1968-76) have been historically monumental, it has always been the purpose of the building that has been the primary Out zone.

The catalog illustrates - as the exhibition did - Utzon's working method and emphasizes showing the process with a focus on both Utzon's works and sources of inspiration.

Whether the inspiration comes from nature or the visual universe of other cultures, it has been processed and transformed into a fully-cast idiom with a great architectural sense for coherence between whole and detail.

Utzon has received many recognitions over the years, and the biggest one he got in May 2003, when he received the world's most prestigious award, The Pritzker Architecture Prize - also called the Nobel Prize of architecture .
