Tal R has distinguished himself internationally as one of the most important painters of his generation and Tal R's art is clearly bound to material and matter, but also as a storyteller he has had a commitment and a special eye for overlooked, hidden and crowded spaces and for people in modern life.

Anything that goes against alignment has Tal R's interest and is a resource for his thinking and imagination. According to Tal R, there is no straight path forward through life in relation to artistic realization and personal expression. "The academy of life" sets the pace...

With the role of a somewhat lone wolf in relation to academic learning and at the same time in opposition to the distinct political course of the 1990s, Tal R was forced to define painting in his own vital and contemporary way. You can say that his art functions as a kind of portal for experiences and feelings that only the individual can give finally
meaning and fullness.

Tal R had its first exhibition in Louisiana back in 1997 and is today richly represented in the Louisiana collection.
