Louisiana Edition featuring the work Triangle by British artist Eve Sussman. The work is a film still from the film Sabinerindernes Rov, which was the main work at Louisiana in 2008, when a number of the artist's works were shown.
With a mixture of theater and film artistic techniques, Eve Sussman (born 1961) has created long and beautifully flowing films of well-known and classic paintings. By collaborating with photographers, she has subsequently created a series of still images based on her cinematic masterpieces. These images thus no longer need the film's backbone, but live by virtue of their own inner qualities.
About Louisiana Editions
The Louisiana Edition is original graphics, created directly for Louisiana by artists who have exhibited at the museum in recent years and are all represented in the museum's collection. These are obvious collector's items.
When Louisiana celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2008, a number of the artists who have exhibited at the museum were asked to create a graphic work that could then be sold to support Louisiana. The series has since been continuously expanded.
The works are produced in limited editions (most in editions of 30) and priced in accordance with the artists themselves, who have generously wanted to support Louisiana, as the proceeds from the series will go uncut for new purchases for the museum's collection. The works are unframed unless otherwise stated.
