Emil Nolde is one of the most important representatives of German Expressionism, but his close association with Denmark – both biographically and geographically – also gives him a natural place in Danish art history.

Louisiana has featured Nolde several times. In 1967 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the artist's birth, and again in 1986 and in 2014. Generation after generation shows interest in Emil Nolde's work, which can be experienced, among other things, in the northern German Seebüll, where Nolde's house and garden are preserved and open for the public.

Dimensions: W 60 x H 49.2 cm
