Carte Postale is woven from recycled sheep and alpaca wool, making it light, soft, and durable. The wool is recycled from previous productions and processed in Peru, giving the materials new life. Elvang is also fair trade certified by WFTO, ensuring responsible production.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn 2002, founders Tina and Lasse Elvang learned about the qualities of alpaca wool during a backpacking trip to Peru. They were captivated by the wool's softness and durability, and began experimenting with combining understated aesthetic design with centuries-old Peruvian weaving traditions, thereby forging strong relationships with artisans, community projects, and factories.
