The book, Giacomette - Unveiled Surrealism , focuses on Giacometti's surrealist works and examines how surrealist traits continued in his art after World War II. It also highlights for the first time his close friendship and artistic collaboration with Max Ernst. The book presents Giacometti's surrealist sculptures side by side with paintings, drawings and graphic works.
The Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti (1901–1966) is considered one of the most original contributors to modern sculpture. He is particularly known for his elongated and expressive figures from the period after 1945, but between 1930 and 1935 he was also a prominent member of the surrealist circle around André Breton.
