George Sowden has worked as an artist, designer and product developer all over the world since moving from his hometown of Leeds to Milan in 1970. Sowden has a personal interest in the craft itself and in working with smaller businesses. In 1981, he co-founded the design and architecture group, The MEMPHIS Design Movement, and in 2010 he launched his own brand, Sowden.
