Weekend bed, designed by Ole Gjerløv-Knudsen in 1965. His goal was to design a bed for children that could be used in the summer house and a children's bed where grandparents can put their grandchildren when the child is visiting. The bed can only be purchased online .

Like the design of  Savbriks/ the day bed, also designed by Ole Gjerløv-Knudsen, the goal was to create a children's bed that could be easily assembled when needed. And easy to disassemble after use. The sides of the bed can be folded down, and this gave the bed several new functions along the way. For example. as a dog basket for the four-legged family member or as a small sofa for the children's room.

The weekend bed is easy to take with you. When folded, it fits into a bag with a shoulder strap, making it easy to transport.

Only natural materials have been used for the bed. No metal parts or screws have been used to assemble the weekend bed. The bed is assembled using sisal rope, which uses an old Danish principle, called the “saw principle”.

You can also buy a mattress for the weekend bed. See mattress here .
