The book David Hockney - A Chronology , by Hans Werner Holzwarth, is a special edition which presents the life and work of the British artist David Hockney in a chronological text, which is supplemented by portrait photographs and exhibition images. The book was published on the occasion of the publisher Taschen's 40th anniversary and contains dialogues from each year between Hockney's works and voices from the time, combined with reviews and the artist's own reflections. David Hockney is a world-renowned painter, graphic designer, photographer and scenographer who has been producing art for six decades. Louisiana has had close contact and collaboration with the artist for many years. He has been presented at several exhibitions and in 2007 the museum acquired David Hockney's giant painting A Closer Grand Canyon.
