City pictures do not just present the artists' and writers' depictions of the city – Scavenius and Michaëlis also analyze the works in a larger context. In this way, they tell a new story about Copenhagen – a story of consciousness that shows different times' views of the city and the people in it.

Bente Scavenius (b. 1944) has a MA. in art history, art critic and author of a large number of books on fine art and garden architecture as well as a regular participant in Kunstquiz on DR K.

Bo Tao Michaëlis (b. 1948) is a writer and author of a number of books. He has
since 1990 has been a literary and cultural critic at the daily newspaper Politiken.
