David Hockney – Moving Focus – is published to mark the artist's 85th birthday in 2022 and features contributions dating back to the 1950s, when Hockney took his first steps into becoming a modern artist, his famous depictions of the Los Angeles cityscape, his much-loved portraits from the 1970s and more recent landscapes and digital images that reflect his ever-present focus on time, space and perspective.

Taken together, the works demonstrate Hockney's changing sources of inspiration and the direction in which his work continues to move.
