A very simple and straightforward counting book based on Hans Scherfig's well-known pictures of 1 rhinoceros, 2 lions, 3 tapirs, etc. up to 10 animals. The more animals there are in the picture, the harder it is to find them.
On the last page of the book is reproduced 'Large jungle picture', which contains 80 animals. The smaller children can enjoy looking at the many different animals, while older children can try to find all the animals and learn something about adding together: 2 elephants + 2 tapirs + 2 crocodiles + 4 lizards + 2 monkeys + 6 proboscis monkeys + 2 squirrels + 8 dragonflies + 8 snakes + 4 fish + 2 turtles + 38 birds = 80 animals.
