Herringbone cushion – Blue

Herringbone cushion designed by London-based design studio Raw-edges. The cushion was originally designed in connection with an interior design task, where they furnished an entire floor in the VitraHaus - Vitra's headquarters.

Raw-edges is founded by the Israeli designers Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay. The duo, who studied together at the Royal College of Art, develop ideas and complement each other perfectly: while Yael Mer's focus is primarily on transforming two-dimensional sheet materials into functional forms, Shay Alkalay is fascinated by the way things move and how they work and react. Among other things, the idea for the herringbone/herringbone collection arose from their interest in dip dyeing and the magical effects that arise from this technique.

The herringbone pillow is handmade.
