Long scarf in a soft linen and cotton mix from the Paris-based, Copenhagen brand, Epice. The pattern is inspired by Danish botany and a palette of earthy colours. The weave is light and the scarf has an elegant jacquard edge.
Épice was founded in 1999 by the Danish designers Bess Nielsen and Jan Machenhauer.
In addition to bags and cushions, they manufacture exclusive scarves for men and women.
At Épice, the emphasis is on creativity and each individual scarf is unique and produced as a work of art. Each scarf is woven and hand printed in Indian workshops. The process of selecting high-quality textiles is careful, and the textiles are made from natural fibers, which accentuates the colors.
Bess Nielsen has lived in Paris for many years and is educated at the Design School in Copenhagen and The Beckmann Design School in Stockholm. Her experience in the world of fashion and her extensive knowledge of Indian culture make her a leading figure in the textile industry.
Jan Machenhauer lives in Copenhagen and is also educated at the Design School in Copenhagen. As a recent graduate, he met Bess Nielsen and together they collaborated on various brands before founding Épice. Jan Machenhauer is a passionate designer and fashion enthusiast and has led the leading style team from Copenhagen since 2006. He adds perfection and creativity to the brand's image.
The scarf is partly handmade, so there may be minor variations - also from the photo on this page.
