Tea towel in natural linen from Denmark, Karin Carlander. Karin Carlander learned the craft of tapestry weaving already at the age of 19 at the French weaver Jacqueline de la Baume Dürrbach's studio in Provence. In 1987 she was trained as a textile designer with a major in weaving from what is now known as the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Design School. From her studio in Raadvad, north of Copenhagen, Karin Carlander develops her textile design before starting production with selected fiber, spinning and weaving manufacturers in Europe.

Karin Carlander founded her interest in Japanese design and craftsmanship early on with three months of study in Japan and after establishing her own studio, in the following decades she created designs for several established companies and has exhibited her own handwoven textiles. In 2013, she started her own brand, Textile No.
