The Dutch design brand Kinta has designed this tea cup as part of their Cyl collection. It is handmade by local potters in Hanoi, Vietnam in a fair-trade collaboration.
Kinta collaborates with 8th generation potters in Hanoi, who carry on the old customs of the craft in Vietnam. The Cyl collection is inspired by handmade joinery products and stoneware, which are both functional and modern. The products are created from local resources and the ceramicists themselves mix the colors in the series. The teacup is baked at a high temperature, which makes it suitable for both the microwave and dishwasher.
