Bofællesskaber – 1970-today by Michael Asgaard Andersen, addresses the renewed interest in life in a shared home, which is not least due to the great focus on sustainable living. It is a form of housing which apparently can both fulfill our individual needs and positively influence the societal and global challenges we face.
In 'Co-housing', a number of experts in the field investigate both past, present and future co-housing in Denmark. The book sheds light on overall perspectives and delves into 20 selected housing communities from the past five decades.
Michael Asgaard Andersen is a Ph.D. and associate professor at Det Kgl. Academy, School of Architecture in Copenhagen. He has previously published 'Jørn Utzon – the creation and operation of architecture'. The book's photographs were taken by architecture photographer Laura Stamer.
In addition to Michael Asgaard Andersen, Anette Høite Hansen, Henrik Gutzon Larsen, Mette Boisen Lyhne, David Tapias Monné, Anu Siren and Mark Vacher have written the book's chapters.
