Discover Japanese design brand Takazawa's handmade candles made from sumac wax. Since 1892, Takazawa Candle in Nanao, Japan, has produced candles in harmony with nature.
The candles are made from plant-based materials such as sumac wax, rice husks and rapeseed oil – a tradition that dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries, when beeswax was unknown to Japanese craftsmen.
