Danish Lamps – 1920 to Now celebrates Danish lamp design, the cornerstone of Danish design that lamps constitute. Old lamps are bought at high prices, older models are relaunched as design icons. This book is the first publication that focuses exclusively on Danish lamp design. Based on Poul Henningsen's iconic 'PH lamp', the book unfolds 100 stories about Danish lamp design, spreading the stories behind the individual designs through text and images.

The book introduces the reader to the inventions that created the basis for the first revolutionary light sources: From the development of oil and gas lamps to the culmination in the late 19th century, the electric incandescent bulbs that came with the arrival of functionalism in Scandinavia, and finally presents the reader with the LED light and lamp design of today.
