The book, Firecrackers. Female Photographers Now , celebrates over 30 contemporary female photographers who, with courage, curiosity and intelligence, portray pressing social, political and personal issues through a female perspective. Building on the Firecracker platform, which has supported female photographers globally since 2011, the book presents a wide range of styles and techniques. A central theme is the exploration of marginalized and under-exposed subjects seen with fresh eyes.
