Between men

Between Men brings together the history of male homosexuality in Danish art. Based on a wealth of visual material and texts by artists and art historians, the book sheds light on how Danish gays have depicted themselves and their lives in visual art since 1970. From early political gay art to the deadly AIDS epidemic and social criticism. The book also includes examples of Greenlandic, Faroese, Scandinavian and international art by homosexuals, thereby broadening the perspective on how homosexuality has been portrayed in Danish art.
