Urban Oasis takes a closer look at more than 20 green projects for a better urban life – central in times of climate crisis and ever-growing cities. In text and not least many and large photos, the focus is on relevant green projects and sustainability, rooftop agriculture, greener, former industrial areas, restoration of protected parks and the slow flower movement.

Urban Oasis shows Berlin's Tempelhof Airport, now a thriving public space, to the former landfill transformed into Cairo's Al-Azhar Park, across Bangkok's Thammasat University Urban Farm, the largest organic rooftop farm in Asia.
Urban Oasis includes interviews with leading figures in their fields, such as the pioneer of today's guerrilla gardening movement, Ron Finley, landscape architect, Kotchakorn Voraakhom of the futuristic studio, Landprocess, and arguably the world's most renowned landscape gardener, Piet Oudolf.
The book is written by German freelance journalist and photographer Jessica Jungbauer. Jungbauer's articles and photos revolve around communicating the work for a sustainable future and her work appears in leading magazines around the world, such as National Geographic Traveler, Der Spiegel, Zeit Online, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Vogue, The Guardian, BBC, Condé Nast Traveler and more.
