History
Since 1958, Louisiana has published catalogues, yearbooks, posters, and utilitarian objects designed by the museum's architects Jørgen Bo and Vilhelm Wohlert.
In the late 1970s, the shop began selling products related to the museum's special exhibitions – from casts of horses from the Chinese Han dynasty to small jade figures and notebooks with motifs from Monet's garden in Giverny. This proved to be a success, and in 1982 the shop had its first expansion, adjoining the museum's new South Wing. However, the space proved insufficient, and so another expansion was planned. It was completed in 1998 in connection with the museum's 40th anniversary.
Since then, the assortment has grown, and in 2020, the Louisiana Webshop opened as a digital extension of the Louisiana Shop. Here, one can explore a selection that reflects the museum's approach to art and design – and which today ships worldwide.

Louisiana Posters & Frames
For decades, Louisiana's posters have made the museum's exhibitions and artists a part of everyday life. The visual archive grows with each exhibition, and the posters offer the opportunity to take a piece of Louisiana's art history home. Additionally, there is a selection of frames made from European solid oak.

Danish and international design
The selection ranges from classic Scandinavian design to new Danish and international designers. Furniture, ceramics, glass, textiles, and accessories are chosen for their form, function, and materials – with room for both the familiar and the surprising. The ceramics have a special Danish focus, and the craftsmanship is mostly from local producers.

Clothes, bags, and jewelry reflect the same curiosity in design and materials. The assortment includes both Danish design, new collections, and vintage items, as well as special collaborations with selected brands, which are exclusively sold in the Louisiana Store and Webshop. New collaborations with suppliers also bring recycled polyester, surplus fabrics, and organic cotton into play.
