Wooden egg without string

Hand-turned wooden eggs from wood craftsman Kristian Bitsch. The wooden eggs are individually made on a lathe in a small workshop in Snekkersten by the Sound. Each egg is unique and created with a focus on good craftsmanship and the natural expression of the wood.
The eggs are turned in Danish woods such as oak, beech, birch, hazel, cherry, plum and chestnut. Each wood has its own color and structure, which gives each egg its own unique appearance. The wood comes primarily from the local area and often comes from neighbors and friends – wood that would otherwise have been used for firewood or taken to the recycling center. In this way, the material gets new life in a small piece of handmade applied art.
After turning, the eggs are sanded and treated with a thin layer of beeswax, followed by a light polishing to give them a smooth and natural surface. They work well as Easter decorations, as part of a still life arrangement or as a small, handmade gift for someone who appreciates good craftsmanship.
Please note that the eggs are purchased individually.
