Pendant Lamp – Sinuate Pendant Medium

Sinuate Pendant from the Danish design brand Moebe is a layered paper lampshade formed entirely through tension – with no glue or fastenings. It is made from two sheets of Japanese paper with small connection holes, mounted onto a star-shaped fitting in stainless steel or brass. When pressed into place, the paper bends into a soft, sculptural form.

The inner layer directs light downward, while the outer layer gently diffuses it, creating a warm and even glow. The lamp is available in two sizes and is delivered fully assembled and ready to hang.

Moebe was founded in 2014 by the architects Martin de Neergard Christensen and Nicholas Oldroyd, together with cabinetmaker Anders Thams. All designs are developed in their studio on Amager in Copenhagen, with a focus on honest materials, simple construction, and thoughtful functionality. Their aim is to create products that reduce complexity and encourage a more simple and conscious way of living with design.
