A Love Story

MISMO was born out of a love story – and perhaps that is exactly why the brand carries a unique sense of warmth and presence. Founders Rikke Overgaard and Adam Alexander Bach met through their shared passion for entrepreneurship, and after completing their studies, they emerged not only with a joint business plan but also with a partnership for life.
The following three years were spent refining processes and finding the right collaborators, and in 2006 they launched their first laptop bags.

Since then, MISMO has established itself as one of Scandinavia’s most respected accessories brands – defined by a clear focus on form, function, and connection. The bags balance practicality with aesthetics and are crafted to be used again and again.

Canvas with Character

The first bags were crafted in leather, but the couple quickly realised that the material didn’t offer the flexibility or expression they were seeking. This led them to embark on the “Canvas Project,” which in 2008 resulted in the launch of four new styles in a contemporary, unisex design.
Canvas combined with leather and brass details created a design language that soon found its way into fashionable boutiques in cities such as Paris and London.

Whether you move through the rhythm of the city or retreat to the calm of nature, a MISMO bag is a loyal companion. It patinates beautifully and tells its own story alongside yours.
Rather than dictating a style, MISMO aims to support yours – whether it is masculine or feminine, relaxed or refined. The name MISMO – the Spanish word for “same” – embodies this very idea: a blank canvas for personal expression, shaped by the way you live, travel and move.

Responsibility with Presence
For MISMO, responsibility begins with presence – with knowing the people they work with and taking care in every relationship. The bags are created in collaboration with a small number of carefully selected suppliers and manufacturers – people with whom the brand has built close, long-term partnerships over the years.
This mutual trust creates calm, quality and insight, ensuring that everything from stitching to delivery is grounded in integrity and transparency.

The goal is to create products that endure – in expression, materials and function. It’s about an aesthetic that doesn’t go out of style, about natural materials that age gracefully, and about details that continue to make sense.
MISMO produces thoughtfully and in limited quantities, driven by the belief that the most responsible choice is to buy less, but better. Longevity is the truest form of care.

Colours with Calm and Resonance

Inspired by the Nordic landscapes and the Danish design tradition, MISMO works from three core principles: simplicity, functionality, and aesthetic longevity. The colour palette is rooted in nature’s muted tones — subdued earthy shades and soft contrasts — creating visual calm and reflecting the way we see and sense the world.

Each design grows out of the life lived around us: daily rituals, cyclists at dawn, walks in the woods, and the busy streets of Copenhagen. The bags are created for the life we lead — and the life we dream of — becoming a natural part of your personal story.

A Lovely Land – Prince of Wales jacquard

In 2025, MISMO breathes new life into the classic Prince of Wales check — rooted in British menswear — through the textile A Lovely Land. This two-tone jacquard in terracotta and beige mirrors, with understated elegance, the red and white hues associated with our Danish identity and evokes memories of traditional textiles and refined craftsmanship.

A carefully balanced blend of recycled nylon, polyester, and cotton gives the fabric both structure and tactility. Despite its soft and inviting surface, the jacquard is exceptionally durable — with a Martindale score of 30,000, it is the most robust jacquard in MISMO’s collection.
