___

Karen Borch is a graduate of the Danish School of Design and works as an illustrator, exhibitor and teacher of watercolor. As a painter, Karen Borch takes as her starting point what she sees - what can be painted through observation or as a representation of a view. She is also inspired by the interaction with nature. Her role models are Astrid Lindgren and Elsa Beskow, Eva Lindsröm and Halfdan Rasmussen.

With step-by-step drawings and simple exercises, you will be introduced to the different techniques, processes and effects of watercolor painting. The book examines concepts such as contrast, composition, perspective, transparency, proportions and much more.
