Anna Atkins – Cyanotypes

This edition reprints Anna Atkins' groundbreaking works British Algae and Cyanotypes of British and Foreign Ferns. As the first woman to use photography in a scientific context, she captured the delicate structures of algae and ferns in her albums. Her work stands today as early and significant examples of photographic practice in its own right.
