Risograph notepad

Risograph-printed notepad by graphic designer Anne Solmer. Risograph printing is a Japanese printing method in which each colour is printed separately – a kind of digital screen printing. The colours in this Risograph-printed collection are based on rice bran oil, which is extracted from the outer layer of brown rice that is normally discarded during rice production.
The notepad fits easily into any bag or pocket, perfect for small shopping lists and short notes without using too much paper.
Anne Solmer is a graphic designer with a studio in Espergærde. She graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the Danish School of Media and Journalism’s Graphic Design School. Today, she works independently on, among other things, the design of art books and graphic design for exhibitions, with a strong curiosity about responsible methods of production.
The prints were transported by train from the printing house in Hamburg and hand-bound in Copenhagen. The colours are semi-transparent, and the notepads are assembled using, among other things, leftover paper, making each notepad unique.
