Martin Parr 's Global Warning is a comprehensive catalogue, published in conjunction with a major exhibition at the Jeu de Paume in Paris (January–May 2026).
The book brings together more than 175 photographs spanning five decades – from early black-and-white images of British holiday parks and everyday environments to later colour-saturated depictions of global tourist attractions. With his distinctive eye, Parr uncovers contemporary absurdities, including overconsumption, mass tourism, technological dependency and humanity’s complex relationship with nature and animals.
The publication includes an introduction by Jeu de Paume director Quentin Bajac, as well as essays by experts in geography, sociology, conservation and urban design, which place the works in a broader societal context. Overall, the book offers a new interpretation of Parr's artistic position, presenting both iconic images and rarely seen works as a unified, critical portrait of our global contemporary world.
