Tote bag featuring motifs from Remedios Varo's works. Choose between the motifs Exploration of the Orinoco River's Source, 1959, or Woman Leaving the Psychoanalyst's Office, 1960. The bag was designed and released in connection with the exhibition of the surrealist, Spanish-Mexican painter Remedios Varo (1908-1963), which will be held from September 2026 to January 2027. The bag is made of 100% organic cotton.
Remedios Varo's artistic expression is characterized by an enigmatic, cinematic quality, where the dream world and the real world merge. She combines widely different techniques, fantasies, and imaginations and utilizes surrealism's chance-based processes.
The female figures in the works are active creators, explorers, alchemists, and researchers, who challenge traditional notions of women's place in the world and point towards a unique female spirituality and intellectual self-determination.
