Louisiana net with motif from the summer's big exhibition (2024) with the Swiss superrealist Franz Gertsch. The nets show a motif with the work Marina Schminkt Luciano, 1975 as well as Blauer Summer, 2020. The net is foldable and can be folded into the inner pocket for easy and practical storage.
This summer's big Louisiana exhibition will be the first comprehensive presentation in Scandinavia of Franz Gertsch (1930-2022). In the second half of the 20th century, the Swiss artist shaped a new, special concept of realism and won international fame for his photorealistic paintings and woodcuts. He used photographic prints and projections before transforming the motifs into paintings using a special method and thanks to perfect craftsmanship.
The exhibition has been created in collaboration with the artist, who died in December 2022. It is therefore both the last exhibition he himself helped to prepare and the first major Franz Gertsch presentation after his death. It has been created with great support from the Franz Gertsch Museum in Burgdorf and will subsequently be shown at the Deichtorhallen in Hamburg.
