Lucian Freud – Self Portrait with Hyacinth Pot 1947-1948

Lucian Freud was one of the 20th century's greatest figurative artists. The exhibition focuses on his lifelong fascination with faces and bodies and his superb mastery of drawing in all its forms – from pencil, pen and ink to charcoal and etching techniques. At the same time, the special dialogue between Freud's drawings and his painting is highlighted.

A carefully selected group of important paintings reveals the dynamic dialogue between his work on paper and on canvas. Along with archival research and previously unseen material, 'Lucian Freud – All is Portrait' will also include works shown publicly for the first time.
