Mamma Andersson – Goodbye 2020

Technically, Mamma Andersson combines several different materials in her works, and her special aesthetic stems from repeated processing and overpainting. Oil on canvas is covered with spray paint, the paint is drawn in thin bands across the surface, and this creates a material fullness and variation that puts the craft at the center.

Louisiana's collection has an international format and dates from 1945 to the present day. It focuses on painting and sculpture, but encompasses all genres and is both a kind of DNA strand for the museum and a dynamic entity that is constantly evolving.
