Exhibition catalogue for the exhibition Bowls Balls Souls Holes with the Argentinian artist, Mika Rottenberg, which was presented at Louisiana 25.9. - 18.12. 2021. The book looks more like an artist's book than a classic exhibition catalogue – for example, the book is not split open at the top. Graphic designer Irma Boom – who designed the catalogue – has said about the book: "The book is like an eternal peep show. You can explore Mika Rottenberg's work with curiosity and get a concentrated version of her work. The half-open pages call for careful reading and bring you close to Rottenberg's fantastic art."

Mika Rottenberg stands today as one of the great names in contemporary art with works that can almost be seen as allegories of the global age and condition. Central to Rottenberg's art is people's relationship to work functions, value creation and communities. In this, her art is a very relevant contribution to the description of an era where we are all part of the accelerating machinery of global overconsumption as production plants.
Mika Rottenberg reflects and skewers the global state and the way we (survive) in it. She mixes film, installation and sculpture, weaving truth with fiction into a form of modern and unique fateful stories. The result is absurd, surreal, critical, loving – and funny.
Mika Rottenberg was born in Argentina, raised in Israel and now lives in New York.
