Scarf – Toile Scarf

Scarf, Toile , from the Danish design brand Tapis Noir. The scarf is made in a soft blend of cotton and silk. The floral print comes from a rurally charming Toile de Jouy print from the very early 19th century, which is part of Tapis Noir's archive of antique textiles.

Tapis Noir was founded in 2020 by Mads Lehn Kruse, who combines his knowledge and experience as an art director with his personal interest in interiors and antique textiles in Tapis Noir. As a collector of rare textile documents, he reinterprets them in a contemporary context, where woven textures are digitally translated while tapestries and old wall panels are transformed into silk in harmony with Lehn Kruse's own warp prints.
