Vitamin C+ Collage in Contemporary Art
Choose options
Vitamin C+ brings together 108 living artists from around the world who work with collage as a central part of their visual practice. The book shows the wide range of the medium – from analog cut-and-paste compositions and photomontages to digitally assembled images and animations.
Collage is described as an artistic language based on found images, fragmented forms, and unexpected juxtapositions. Although the medium gained its artistic recognition in the early 20th century, it has experienced a significant resurgence in the past decade.
The selection was made by 69 international experts, including museum directors, curators, critics and collectors, and the publication also includes an introduction by Yuval Etgar, which puts the current significance of collage art into perspective.
