The video work follows French soccer star Zinedine Zidane through an entire match and was shown on a big screen in Louisiana's park throughout the summer of 2020.

Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait, is a masterpiece in the history of modern art as a portrait. A total of 17 synchronized cameras follow Zidane around the pitch, both with and without the ball, throughout an entire match. The match was played on April 23, 2005 between Zidane's then club, Real Madrid, and opponents from Villarreal.

The video work comes very close to one of the best football players of all time, surrounded by thousands of tightly packed spectators - which could also contribute a strangely melancholic undertone in a time marked by corona.
