Hand-woven bread basket in pettipipe from the Norwegian design, Aula, based in Oslo. In Norwegian cultural history, braiding can be traced back to the early Viking Age, and with its many forms and functions, it has historically played an important role in Norwegian everyday life.
In its special design, the bread basket here is inspired by Japanese braiding techniques and is braided deliberately asymmetrically like a sculpture.
Since it is handmade, there may be variations between the baskets and from the pictures on this page.
