Wall clock designed by the world-famous Danish architect, Finn Juhl, (1912-1989) . Finn Juhl designed the FJ Clock in 1950 for the Trusteeship Council Chamber in the UN building in New York, where it still hangs. FJ Clock captures the essence of Finn Juhl's aesthetic and is designed and crafted with harmonious precision and comes here in black ash wood.
Finn Juhl is one of the greatest talents Denmark has had in the field of spatial art, and he was one of the first to train interior designers and employ them in his design studio.
In his furniture, Finn Juhl expressed himself in an idiom that had not been known before, and he worked with proportions and materials so that it was both coherent and rich in experience - without forgetting the human being.
It was Juhl's furnishing of the Trusteeship Council room at the UN in New York in 1951 that was the start of a Danish export success. In those years, Danish furniture was in vogue in the US, especially Finn Juhl's.
