This book offers a new insight into Wegner's creative universe through his watercolors, revealing him as more than a dedicated furniture designer; he was also an artist with a playful approach, a strong expression and a fine sense of color.

The book puts Wegner's artistic temperament into perspective in the light of his personal history and contemporary times. It presents almost 100 watercolours, which are thematically divided by motifs, and ends with a richly illustrated biography that brings together Wegner's life and work.

Anne Blond is director of the Association Museum Wegner, which is working to establish a museum for Wegner's furniture in Tønder.
