Handmade saucers for flower pots, from the Danish family brand, Bergs Potter, here in the series: Hoff , designed by graphic designer, Anne Hoff. The saucers are hand-glazed in signature colors that can be contrasted with the series' raw terracotta pots, turned in the special Galestro clay in a small family-owned workshop in northern Italy.
Bergs Potter goes all the way back to 1942, when the Victor Berg family inherited a small ceramics shop on Rantzausgade in Nørrebro in Copenhagen. Berg, who was actually an accountant, decided to bring some life and color into the shop - and into the war-affected lives of his fellow citizens.
Victor Berg decided that the best way to do that would be to get some flowers into the address. The combination of fresh flowers and pottery soon made the store a popular place to visit and shop.
Since then, the Bergs Potter brand has grown into a number of shops, which are today run by the third generation Berg, based on a special love for the Tuscan terracotta clay.
