Membership price: $126

The unique, sculptural shape of the Yoko teapot is inspired by the design duo Stilleben's first trip to Japan. Its sharp edges contrast beautifully with the otherwise soft shapes and smooth material of the teapot. The teapot comes with a glossy glaze in two colours, red and dark blue, and can hold 1.38 litres.

The Yoko series was designed by Stilleben for Motarasu and is made of hard-fired porcelain, which is extremely durable and dishwasher safe.

Motarasu was founded in 2019 by Mikkel Zebitz. Zebitz is clearly inspired by Japanese design and aesthetics. But where classic Danish designers, as well as contemporary designers, have largely let Japan serve as inspiration, Zebitz wanted to change this: "Motarasu" means "to change" in Japanese - by uniting the designers of the two nations to create modern design together.

Art and nature are the key elements in designs from Motarasu, who work from the showroom in Frederiksgade in Copenhagen.
