Monograph, Drawings 1999-2021 , with 80 drawings by the German contemporary artist, Gerhard Richter (b. 1932) with text by Michael Newman, professor at Goldsmith's University in London. Richter is well known to many of Louisiana's visitors, especially for the major work, 1025 farben – 1025 farver (1974). With the book here concerns the 80 otherwise rarely seen works by Richter.
Drawings 1999-2021 highlights a recent period of particular creativity and ingenuity in Richter. The monograph here includes pencil drawings on paper, works in ink and overpainted photographs of forests. This publication offers a rare chance to study the most intimate aspect of Gerhard Richter's work.
