Porcelain cup from the Danish ceramist, Helene Søs Schjødts. Schødts is particularly inspired by the forms of nature and the handmade character is important to her: Clay and hands decide and she does not try to force perfection or a character of factory production. Schjødts develops the patterns, among other things, through drawing and photography of botany.
Helene Søs Schjødts is trained as a ceramicist at the Academy of Fine Arts' design school on Bornholm. For a number of years she had a workshop and shop in Svaneke, but is now back in her hometown of Copenhagen with a workshop and shop in Østerbro.
