Drinking glasses from the Danish design brand, Stilleben, in Copenhagen. The glass is hand-blown and handcrafted in crystalline glass by local glass workers in an over 300-year-old, family-run glass factory in the Czech Republic - one of the last remaining manufacturers in Europe that only makes glass using traditional, manual methods. Stilleben strives for sustainable production and shipping with reuse of raw materials in production and minimization of packaging.
Stilleben was founded in 2002 by the product designers, Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft, both educated at the Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in glass and ceramics.
Stilleben designs and produces both its own collections of crockery, textiles and interiors, but also designs for other renowned Danish designs: Kähler, Skagerak, Motarasu and Lyngby Porcelæn. Stilleben, for example, is also behind the design of Kähler's iconic striped Omaggio vase, which instantly went global upon its launch in 2009.
